Recording and Filing: Obtain Copies
The Recorders Office maintains microfilm copies of all previously recorded documents.
You are invited to use the machines available in the office to search for any records. We are unable to provide searches in response to telephone requests. To obtain a copy of a recorded document you may come to our office or you may make your request by mail.
Orders for copies of recorded documents require the following information:
- The recording reference number. This may be a book and page, or document number
- Date of the recording
- Names of the parties involved in the documents
If you do not know the recording reference number, you must indicate the approximate date of recording.
If you are requesting by mail and do not know the exact number of pages of a particular document, insert not to exceed $20 or whatever amount that you think is appropriate. We will fill in the amount and send you a receipt with the document.
