How to Record a Document

TWO OPTIONS TO SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENT(S) FOR RECORDING:
  1. IN-PERSON, APPOINTMENT ONLY:

  • Prepare your document for recording. 
  • Make your appointment for in-person service here. Appointments available between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (no lunch closure), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays (see 2021 calendar).
  • Payment is collected over the counter and conformed copies returned to you immediately. Your original document(s) are returned by mail within 4 to 6 weeks.
  1. BY MAIL:

  • Mail the original document(s) for recording, conformed copies, SASE, and payment to: Yolo County Clerk-Recorder, PO Box 1130, Woodland, CA 95776-1130.
  • Documents received by mail are processed within 2-3 business days.
  • Conformed copies are returned immediately by mail.
  • Original documents are returned within 4 to 6 weeks from the date of recording.
