How to Record a Document
THREE OPTIONS TO SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENT(S) FOR RECORDING:
IN-PERSON:
- Prepare your document for recording.
- Bring your original document Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm., excluding holidays (see 2022 / 2023 calendars).
- Payment is collected over the counter and conformed copies returned to you immediately. Your original document(s) are returned by mail within 4 to 6 weeks.
BY MAIL:
- Mail the original document(s) for recording, conformed copies, SASE, and payment to: Yolo County Clerk-Recorder, PO Box 1130, Woodland, CA 95776-1130.
- Documents received by mail are processed within 2-3 business days.
- Conformed copies are returned immediately by mail.
- Original documents are returned within 4 to 6 weeks from the date of recording
ELECTRONIC:
- Inquire with an authorized submitter (title companies, attorney's and lender institutions) to record electronically.
- Electronic recordings are received 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, excluding holidays (see 2022 / 2023 calendars)
