REQUESTING COPIES WHEN DOCUMENT REFERENCE NUMBER IS UNKNOWN:

We are unable to provide searches in response to telephone requests. 

  1. Provide a written request with approximate date of recording and names of parties involved in the documents.
  2. Enclose payment to cover the fees for copies. When page count is unknown, you may insert "not to exceed $20" or an amount that you think is appropriate. We will fill-in the amount and send you a receipt with the document requested.

In the ongoing effort to maintain costs and services, the Yolo County Clerk-Recorder asks that all document requests to be mailed to the customer include a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE). In lieu of the SASE the customer may elect to pay $1.00 for return postage which will be added to the document fee total.
