Elections Office to Process and Count Vote-by-Mail Ballots for the Statewide Special Election

The Yolo County Elections Office will begin the processing and counting of vote-by-mail ballots for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The totaling and posting of election results will begin after 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

The Elections Office will continue to process and count vote-by-mail ballots during regular business hours at the Yolo County Elections Office (625 Court St., Suite B-05, Woodland), including after business hours on Election Day (until 8:00 p.m. on November 4th). For the most up to date daily times, please contact the Elections Office at (530) 666-8133. 

“The processing and counting of vote-by-mail ballots is open to the public and we welcome anyone who is interested in observing,” says Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. "Transparency is the cornerstone of our democratic process. We are committed to ensuring that all voters can see and understand all of our processes."
